Lagos State government has announced that all public and private primary and secondary schools operating in the state are to resume on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

In view of this, all schools, both public and private, have been advised to adhere strictly to the Y2016/17 Academic Calendar jointly agreed upon at the stakeholders meeting held prior to the commencement of the academic year.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Education noted that there was a need for keep to a uniform calendar for proper planning and ensures that pupils and students attend school for the number of days required in the term.

The ministry stressed that the resumption for the 3rd Term remains Tuesday, April 18, while the Mid-Term Break will hold between Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2, 2017.

The statement pointed out that the 3rd term will end on Friday, July 14, 2017.

The statement wished the pupils and their parents Happy Easter celebrations following the successful completion of Lent.
