One of the leading oil firms in the country, Oando Plc, will on Friday, July 27, 2018, hold its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The yearly meeting is slated to take place at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, by 10am.
During the event, shareholders of the company will receive the audited financial statements of Oando for the year ended December 31, 2017 and the Reports of the Directors, Auditors and Audit Committee thereon.
According to a notice released by Oando, the shareholders would also be expected to re-appoint Ernst & Young as Auditors and authorise the Directors of the company to fix their remuneration.
In addition, they will elect Mr Bukar Goni Aji to the Board of Directors of Oando with effect from January 19, 2018 as a Director whose term expires in accordance with Article 88 of the Articles of Association of the Company but being eligible, offers himself for election.
“To elect Mr. Muntari Zubairu to the Board of Directors of the company, with effect from February 5, 2018 as a Director whose term expires in accordance with Article 88 of the Articles of Association of the Company but being eligible, offers himself for election,” the notice also said.
Furthermore, the shareholders would be expected to re-elect the trio of Chief Sena Anthony, Mr Ike Osakwe and Mr Ademola Akinrele as Directors of the firm.
Last year, the company held its AGM in Uyo, the Akwa-Ibom State capital amid alleged moves to remove Mr Adewale Tinubu as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Oando Plc.
