One of the shareholders in Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc, Lufthansa Commercial Holding GmbH, has sold off its stake in the firm.
Lufthansa controls about 6 percent stake in the ground holding company trading its shares on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
The company had a total of 97,453,125 ordinary shares of NAHCO, but it has now transferred all to another shareholder of NAHCO.
According to a statement issued by NAHCO, Lufthansa sold its holdings to Godsmart Nigeria Limited.
With the completion of the transaction, Godsmart Nigeria Limited now becomes a major shareholder of NAHCO.
It was disclosed that Godsmart Nigeria Limited now controls 26.95 percent of the issued and paid up share capital of NAHCO.
The value of this transaction between Lufthansa and Godsmart Nigeria Limited was not disclosed by NAHCO, which made the announcement.
“This is to inform our esteem shareholders, the general public and the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) that Lufthansa Commercial Holding GmbH has transferred all of its 97,453,125 ordinary shares of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc, representing 6 percent shareholding, to Godsmart Nigeria Limited.
“Consequently, Godsmart Nigeria Limited has become a holder of 26.95 percent of the issued and paid up share capital and the major shareholder of the company,” the statement said.
