LASACO Assurance Shifts 39th AGM, Picks Fresh Venue

The board of LASACO Assurance PLC has announced the postponement of its 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) earlier scheduled to take place this week in Lagos.

The yearly shareholders’ gathering was earlier fixed for Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the City Hall, Lagos Island, Lagos.

But a new notification from the insurer said the AGM would not longer take place this week, but next month at a new venue already announced.

According to the notice, the new date and venue are Tuesday, October 8, 2019 and Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos respectively. The time for the AGM is 11am.

“This is to inform our esteemed shareholders and the general public that our 39th Annual General Meeting scheduled to hold on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at City Hall Lagos Island, Lagos has been postponed. “The new details are as follows Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Oriental Hotel Victoria Island by 11am,” the statement signed by the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, Gertrude Olutekunbi, said.

The firm attributed the shifting of the meeting to its inability to meet the normal required days to distribute the audited financials to investors ahead of the AGM.

“The postponement has become necessary in order for the company to meet the required delivery period of audited financials.

“All inconveniences caused by this postponement, are highly regretted,” the company stated.
