Some loyalists of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele, staged a peaceful demonstration on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in the country’s capital, Abuja.

The protesters, under the aegis of coalition of civil society groups in Nigeria, called on critics of the President and the CBN boss to “leave” them alone and “give change a chance.”

They expressed confidence in the leadership of the two men, calling on Nigerians to give them maximum supports.

The demonstrators carried placards conveying various messages including “Give change a chance,” “President Buhari is not dead, he is alive,” “Coalition of civil society group operation stop blackmail against Buhari, Emefiele and others. Enough is enough,” amongst others.
