The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange appreciated by 8.05 per cent in the 34th trading week of this year, with the market capitalisation of the bourse rising by N163 billion to N2.193 trillion from the N2.029 trillion recorded in the preceding week.

In the same pattern, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) went up by 119.16 points in the five-day trading week to settle at 1,600.16 points versus the 1,481.00 points recorded in Week 33.

The price of Aradel Holdings Plc appreciated in the week by 15.7 per cent to close at N5,437.00 per share compared with the previous closing value of N4,700.00 per share. It was followed by Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc which recorded a 9.9 per cent gain to end at N20.47 per unit versus N18.61 per unit, and Afriland Properties Plc grew by 2.2 per cent to quote at N17.99 per share against the former value of N17.60 per share.

On the flip side, Mass Telecom Innovation Plc lost 8.9 per cent to finish at 41 Kobo per unit versus 45 Kobo per unit, Food Concepts Plc depreciated by 5.3 per cent to settle at N1.80 per share versus N1.90 per share, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Plc declined by 4.0 per cent to N48.00 per share from N50.00 per share.

The trading data showed that the total volume of trades during the week fell by 86.7 per cent to 8.5 million units from 64.4 million units, the total value of transactions retreated by 57.5 per cent to N1.33 billion from N3.14 billion, and the number of deals crumbled by 3.9 per cent to 217 trades from 226 trades.

Geo Fluids Plc was the most traded security by volume last week with 8.04 million units, Aradel Holdings Plc traded 0.27 million units, FrieslandCampina Wamco Plc exchanged 0.14 million units, Acorn Petroleum Plc transacted 0.20 million units, and CSCS Plc traded 0.19 million units.

However, Aradel Holdings was the most active by value with N1.3 billion, Geo Fluids Plc recorded N160 million, FrieslandCampina Wamco Plc posted N70 million, CSCS Plc posted N5 million, and Afriland Properties Plc recorded N4 million.
