Rising operational costs and the devaluation of Naira have forced a popular gift cards company, Suregifts, to effect a few price adjustments.
Business Post reliably gathered that the firm, will from Friday, November 15, 2024, take a 2.5 per cent service charge on every Suregifts voucher purchased by clients.
In addition, the organisation will charge N1,500 from next week as a printing fee for physical vouchers, according to a statement obtained by this newspaper.
Suregifts explained that it took this route because of the tough economic environment in Nigeria.
It added that the decision was to ensure it maintains its standard and also strengthen its “commitment to eco-friendly materials, reducing our environmental footprint.”
The gift cards firm informed its customers that they have the e-voucher option, which is cheaper than the physical cards.
Below is the statement from the company;
We appreciate your commitment to Suregifts as your reward partners. As we continue to deliver exceptional experiences, we’re making a few adjustments to maintain our high service standards.
In recent times, Nigeria’s current economic climate has begun to pose significant challenges, including rising operational costs and currency devaluation. We’re introducing some price adjustments to ensure that we continue to render top-notch, uninterrupted services.
Effective November 15th:
A 2.5% service charge will be added to every Suregifts voucher purchased.
The printing fee for physical vouchers is increased to 1500 Naira.
This new price structure will help foster our commitment to eco-friendly materials, reducing our environmental footprint.
An option worth considering will be to purchase e-vouchers, which are a more convenient and cost-effective solution.
