The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange slid by 0.11 per cent on Monday, June 30, with the market capitalisation shedding N2.2 billion to close at N1.960 trillion compared with the N1.962 trillion it ended at the preceding session.

In the same vein, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) weakened by 3.76 points to settle at 3,347.43 points, in contrast to the previous session’s 3,351.19 points.

During the session, there was a 281.9 per cent rise in the volume of securities to 846,042 units from the 221,499 million units posted in the previous trading day, the value of securities increased by 86.1 per cent to N16.1 million from N8.7 million, and the number of deals rose by 17.9 per cent to 33 deals from 28 deals.

When trading activities ended, Impresit Bakolori Plc remained the most active stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 536.9 million units worth N524.8 million, followed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.2 million units sold for N4.2 billion, and Geo-Fluids Plc with 268.5 million units valued at N475.9 million.

Also, Okitipupa Plc was the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 153.8 million units sold for N4.9 billion, trailed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.2 million units valued at N4.2 billion, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 41.0 million units worth N1.7 billion.

Yesterday, the bourse ended with three price losers and two gainers led by Okitipupa Plc, which appreciated by N5.78 to sell at N227.74 per unit compared with the preceding day’s N221.87 per unit, and Food Concepts Plc, which added 21 Kobo to close at N2.34 per share, in contrast to the N2.13 per share it was sold last Friday.

Conversely, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc depreciated by N1.57 to sell at N29.11 per unit versus the preceding session’s N30.68 per unit, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc declined by N1.38 to finish at N62.19 per share compared with the previous trading day’s N63.57 per share, and Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc lost 1 Kobo to trade at 34 Kobo per unit versus 35 Kobo per unit.
