Arsenal, Chelsea London Derby Lead Packed Football Weekend on DStv, GOtv

The early weeks of the European football season have already delivered plenty of talking points, from perfect starts to unexpected results and early pressure on some of the continent’s biggest clubs. This weekend brings another round of fixtures that could further shape the early standings headlined by the London Derby between Arsenal and Chelsea.

From the Premier League to La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1, SuperSport on DStv and GOtv brings fans another weekend of major football action.

Premier League: Arsenal and Chelsea Lead the Weekend

Liverpool travel to Ipswich Town on Friday at 8:00 pm looking for their first win after consecutive 2–2 draws, while Ipswich seek a response to their 5–2 defeat to Manchester United.

Saturday sees Newcastle host Bournemouth at 12:30 pm, followed by Manchester City against Coventry City and Nottingham Forest against Tottenham at 3:00 pm. Newcastle beat Spurs last weekend, while City come in off a 4–1 win over Crystal Palace.

Everton host Manchester United on Sunday at 2:00 pm, with United looking to build on their 5–2 win over Ipswich, before Arsenal host Chelsea at 4:30 pm. Both sides have won their opening two matches, with Arsenal beating Aston Villa 1–0 and Chelsea edging Brighton 4–3.

La Liga: Real Madrid, Barcelona and Unbeaten Rivals in Action

Real Madrid travel to Real Betis on Friday at 9:00 pm after winning their opening three matches, while Atlético Madrid visit Athletic Club on Saturday at 4:15 pm following a 3–1 win over Sevilla.

Barcelona head to Valencia on Sunday at 4:15 pm looking to maintain their perfect start. Later, unbeaten teams, Alavés and Osasuna face off at 6:30 pm, with both sides in 4th and 5th, respectively.

Serie A: Juventus and AC Milan Set for Early Heavyweight Clash

Juventus host AC Milan on Saturday at 6:00 pm, with both sides taking six points from their opening two matches.

Inter Milan face Napoli at the same time in another major clash, with Inter unbeaten while Napoli look to respond after a surprise 2–1 defeat to Como. Later, Roma host Atalanta at 8:45 pm, with Roma coming off consecutive 4–0 victories.

PSG and Monaco Meet in Ligue 1 Showdown

Paris Saint-Germain face Monaco on Friday at 9:05 pm with the champions still searching for their first Ligue 1 win. PSG have drawn both of their opening matches, including a 2–2 draw at Lille.

Monaco, however, arrive in Paris with a perfect record after beating Marseille 2–0 last weekend. The result gave them two wins from two and made them the early leaders of the league.

Marseille will look to bounce back on Sunday at 8:45 pm when they host Paris FC, following their defeat to Monaco.
