Mr Richard Rivett-Carnac has been appointed to the board of directors of International Breweries Plc, the brewery giant has revealed.
He is joining the board as a non-executive director, a statement signed by the Company Secretary/General Counsel, Mr Muyiwa Ayojimi, stated.
Mr Rivett-Carnac replaces Mr Phillip Redman, who recently resigned his appointment as a non-executive director.
It was disclosed that Mr Rivett-Carnac is the Mergers and Acquisitions/Treasury Director for AB InBev Africa, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He is a Chartered Accountant and was an investment Banker with Barclays Capital UK and also worked with KPMG Johannesburg prior to joining the then SABMiller group in 2009.
Mr Rivett-Carnac holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Accounting) from the University of Natal Durban. He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
International Breweries Plc is a part of the world’s largest brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev, (AB InBev) with over 400 beer brands.
The firm was established in 1971 and was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in 1995. The Company AB InBev consolidated its business stakes in Pabod Breweries Limited, Intafact Beverages Limited into its majority ownership of IB Plc in a merger that was concluded in December, 2017.
