On Wednesday, a coalition of non-governmental organisations in Nigeria took to the streets of Abuja to stage a demonstration against corrupt judges in the country.
The protesters, under the name ‘Forum of Non-Governmental Organisations in Nigeria’, carried placards with different messages, calling for a total cleansing of the judiciary.
Some of their messages read “Corruption is Nigeria’s natural epidemic, let us join hands to fight the war against corruption,” “No to corruption in the judiciary”, “Don’t get it twisted, judiciary is not on trial, only corrupt judicial officials are” and many others.
Wednesday’s protest took place at the National Judicial Council headquarters premises in Abuja.
