Our correspondent gathered from a source at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) that the about five people have so far been feared dead, while several others seriously injured and have been taken to the hospital.
However, spokesperson of NEMA in Maiduguri, Mr Abdulkadir Ibrahim only confirmed the efforts of rescue and health workers in the evacuation of wounded victims to hospitals for treatment while the dead bodies have been deposited in the mortuary.
One of the blasts was said to have occurred at the Bakkassi IDP camp in Maiduguri, while the other happened at the NNPC depot on Damboa road, also in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
It was further gathered that security operatives are presently at the scenes of the two unfortunate incidents.
