Registration for Wema Bank Hackathon 3.0 Closes February 12

Registration for Wema Bank Hackathon 3.0 will close on Saturday, February 12, 2022, the organisers have said.

The programme, in its third edition and tagged Hackaholics 3.0, provides tech enthusiasts and innovators with a unique platform to unleash their creativity, exhibit innovative solutions that will battle some inherent societal challenges, network with like-minded tech-savvy individuals, show off their skills, and win great prizes.

Entries for the Hackaholics commenced on Saturday, February 5, 2022, and intending participants have been urged to embrace the opportunity to achieve their dreams in the tech world.

This is because the Hackaholics platform remains an excellent opportunity for participants to challenge themselves to solve a problem that impacts the life of Nigerians and Africans at large.

According to the organisers, the programme is aimed at solving some specific challenges across multiple sectors by introducing innovative products or services.

Participants will be expected to come up with solutions centred around scaling Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), financial inclusion drive, scaling the health tech space and providing business/individuals with access to credit facilities.

Business Post gathered that the Hackaholics 3.0 is centred around exploring the possibilities of Emerging Technologies (NFTs, Metaverse, Blockchain, AR, VR, AI, IoT) in solving basic human needs across/for Finance, Health, Entertainment, Credit & Lending and SMEs.

The winner of the contest will take home N2.5 million, with the first runner-up walking away with N1.5 million and the second runner-up going with N1 million.
