The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) now has a new Corps Marshal and he is Mr Shehu Mohammed, a letter of appointment signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr George Akume, has confirmed.

The letter dated Monday, May 20, 2024, disclosed that the appointment of Mr Mohammed was approved by President Bola Tinubu.

Before his latest appointment, the new corps marshal was an Assistant Corps Marshal in the agency.

It was disclosed that the appointment of Mr Mohammed, which became effective on Monday, is in accordance with Section 7 (1) of the Federal Road Safety Commission Act, 2007.

His appointment is for an initial period of four years in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Act establishing the organisation. He took over the position from Mr Dauda Ali Biu.
