Abbey Bank Lists Shares from Private Placement on Stock Exchange

The additional shares of Abbey Bank Plc arising from its private placement have been listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited.
A statement on Thursday from the Head of the Issuer Regulation Department of the NGX Regulation Limited, Mr Godstime Iwenekhai, disclosed that the fresh equities were listed today.
Business Post reports that the company’s 26,562,647,265 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each were issued at N2.43 per unit during the exercise.
This development has increased the total issued and fully paid-up share capital of Abbey Bank on Customs Street.
According to the notice, the total issued and fully paid-up share capital of the lender is now 36,716,493,419 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each, up from 10,153,846,154 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each.
“Trading licence holders and the investing public are hereby notified that an additional 26,562,647,265 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each of Abbey Bank Plc were today, Thursday, September 17, 2026, listed on the daily official list of Nigerian Exchange Limited.
“The additional shares listed on NGX arose from the bank’s private placement of 26,562,647,265 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each at N2.43 per share.
“With the listing of the additional shares, the total issued and fully paid-up share capital of Abbey Bank Plc has now increased to 36,716,493,419 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each from 10,153,846,154 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each,” the disclosure stated.
