All is presently not well with a customer of a Polaris Bank Limited branch in Delta State and the reason is not far-fetched. An employee of the financial institution, which took over assets and liabilities of the defunct Skye Bank Plc, has allegedly run away with the customer’s savings.

The suspect identified as Mr Emmanuel Agbroko works at the bank at Obiaruku, but allegedly vanished into thin air with his customer’s deposit, which was from thrift savings from several people in the community.

As a result of this, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Obiaruku town, the headquarters of Ukwuani Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State, Mr Umukoro Hendrix, has declared Mr Agbroko wanted.

It was said that the suspect was last seen in the community Tuesday, on October 1, 2019 and according to reports, efforts to locate him have proven abortive.

This incident, as reports said, has caused tension in the town and is being discussed in hush tones, with some blaming Polaris Bank for not putting a proper mechanism in place to checkmate fraud among its members of staff.

As at the time of filing this report, all efforts made to speak with representatives of the bank on the issue proved abortive as their phone numbers were not connecting when we put calls through.
