Wednesday, April 17, 2019 has been fixed for a board meeting of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Plc, the company has announced.

In a brief notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday, the lender said the meeting is mainly to deliberate on the financial statements of the bank for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019.

During the next month’s gathering, the financial institution’s board of directors will consider and approve the company’s accounts before being released to the investing public, though after the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the banking industry regulator.

“Pursuant to the post-listing requirements of the NSE for quoted companies, GTBank Plc hereby informs you that the board of directors of the bank is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, to consider the Unaudited Financial Statements for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019.

“We shall notify you of the decisions reached after the meeting,” the notice signed by the Company Secretary, Erhi Obebeduo, stated.

Consequently, the board has announced “the scheduled commencement of the closed period for trading in the bank’s shares on April 1, 2019.”
