Lagos NIPR Holds Digital PR Summit October

Lagos State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is organising a summit on digital public relations.

This, it said, is in partnership with Google, Microsoft and TrendWatching.

The Lagos Digital PR Summit is first of its kind in Sub Saharan Africa.

It is a two-day experiential gathering of communicators focused on achieving collective intelligence to equip and capacitate communicators with high-level digital media strategies, tactics and how-to’s so they can do their jobs better, train their teammates, and lift their campaign results, Lagos NIPR said.

The programme, themed ‘New Media: Public Relations Practice in Networked Communities,’ is scheduled to take place on October 19 and 20, 2016, at the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) headquarters on 22, Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, from 10am–4pm daily.

Naira Crashes to N410.25/$1 at I&E, N482/$1 at Black Market

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has warned that overcrowded displacement camps coupled with a lack of basic sanitation facilities and hygiene will cause another cholera outbreak in northeast Nigeria if action is not taken now to prevent it.
