The total issued and fully paid-up share capital of Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited has increased.

This is because the financial services firm has listed additional equities on Customs Street, a notice from NGX Regulation Limited confirmed.

In the disclosure signed by its Head of Issuer Regulation Department, Mr Godstime Iwenekhai, the regulator noted that the increment arose from the private placement of the organisation.

Sterling Holdings carried out a private placement, which involved the sale of 2,573,080,294 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each at N4.00 per unit.

After the exercise, the company brought the additional stocks to the exchange for listing, resulting in the hike in its total issued and fully paid-up share capital to 68,502,331,708 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each from 65,929,251,414 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each.

Business Post reports that the listing was done on Monday, August 31, 2026, according to the notice from NGX Regulation.

“Trading licence holders are hereby notified that an additional 2,573,080,294 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each of Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc were on Monday, August 31, 2026, listed on the daily official list of Nigerian Exchange Limited.

“The additional shares listed on NGX arose from the company’s private placement of 2,573,080,294 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each at N4.00 per share.

“With the listing of the additional shares, the total issued and fully paid-up share capital of Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc has now increased to 68,502,331,708 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each from 65,929,251,414 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each,” the disclosure read.
