A new branch of TAJBank has opened in Sokoto State as part of the expansion agenda of the current management team of the most innovative non-interest lender in Nigeria.
The new branch of the company is the fourth in the Caliphate state and its launching was witnessed by several dignitaries, including the Governor of Sokoto State, Mr Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
At the opening of the TAJBank office in the state, the Governor commended the financial institution for its innovative strides and enjoined the bank to live up to its mission to provide superior banking products and services to the people.
He also noted the enormous benefits of non-interest banking and assured the institution of the government’s continued support. He also used the occasion to open a TAJBank account to show his commitment to the organisation and its giant strides.
Chairman of TAJBank, Mr Tanko Isiaku Gwamna, while speaking at the event, acknowledged the efforts of the Sokoto State government in initiating an investment into the fourth branch even while it was still a project and emphasised that this singular act was a strong catalyst to the eventual realisation of the new branch.
He also emphasised some of its key focus points in the state as namely agricultural development and the significant enhancement of financial inclusion within underserved communities in the state.
Recently, the bank also launched two platforms: its agency banking network called the TAJXpress and Nigeria’s first ethical e-commerce site, TAJMall. The network spans states within the North West and North East areas of the country.
TAJBank, which secured its operating license from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on July 12, 2019, is the second non-interest financial institution in Nigeria.
The bank, which has its head office in Abuja, offers an exciting array of products and services that span private banking, retail banking, business banking, development finance and the public sector.
