The management of United Bank for Africa (UBA) has announced carrying out full maintenance of its cards on international platforms.
This, according to an emailed notice to its customers on Saturday, is to ensure accounts domiciled in the financial institution were “fully secure.”
“In our bid to serve you better and ensure that your accounts with us are fully secure, we will be scheduling a full maintenance of our cards on international platforms,” the notice obtained by Business Post said.
Though the lender did not specifically state when the maintenance will commence or last, it emphasised that during during the exercise, customers will not be able to make any international transactions with any of their UBA cards.
“Please be informed that during this period, you will not be able to make any international transactions with any of your UBA cards,” the bank said.
However, it stressed that, “Local transactions in your local currency will not be affected,” adding that, “The maintenance will commence immediately. We assure you that it will be treated with utmost importance and you will be informed as soon as the maintenance is complete.”
“We thank you for banking with UBA and appreciate your patience and understanding,” the notice concluded.
