Preparations are already in top gear for the launch of KreekAfrica, a company that is tipped to disrupt the online marketplace in Africa.

According to a statement from the firm, operations will fully commence on Thursday, August 20, 2020, allowing professionals to showcase their skills and services to those who need their assistance.

The Chief Executive Officer of Africent Group, the umbrella company of KreekAfrica, Mr Razaq Juwon Lawal, stated that the firm was berthed for the purpose of ensuring that African youths, experts and professionals do not feel the impact of job losses and rising unemployment brought about by the current global health crisis.

He noted that KreekAfrica will provide opportunities for service providers and customers around the globe in need of their services to easily find them on the platform.

“The pandemic presents an opportunity to reset Africa, create employment through technology and eliminate poverty.

“Africa must embrace the new normal. The disruptions we’ve seen across Fintech Services, healthcare, logistics, supply chain, and the digital economy are here to stay,” he added.

It was stated that the launch will be held virtually due to the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, while business experts drawn from diverse fields would observe the ceremony online.

“KreekAfrica is a uniform way to sell services online; whether you’re a sole trader or a big business, our online marketplace can help you connect with customers all over the world.

“We will be hosting businesses that need customers as well as having customers looking for the right professionals for their projects post their requirements on the platform,” stated Mr Lawal, a distinguished member of the Forbes Business Council, a foremost growth and networking organization for successful business owners and leaders worldwide.

The CEO then assured that after take-off in August, KreekAfrica.com would prove its uniqueness as the site for creative sellers of one-of-a-kind services that clients and business operators want.

KreekAfrica boasts of a team of experts which include its new Chief Operating Officer, Mr Joseph Owusu Badu, who was formerly the head of marketing and customer engagement at Jumia Group, to deliver the best in line with the companies’ visions and missions.

With over 170 million active buyers around the globe, Mr Lawal says the target is to make KreekAfrica.com one of the best and most diverse online market hubs in the world.

KreekAfrica is segmented into categories like programming and development, design and art, writing and translation, administrative and secretarial, business and finance, sales and marketing, engineering and architecture, and legal.

Other segments are education and training, home services, fashion, construction, agriculture, engineering and architecture, data science and analytics, and more.
