The Crown Premium Spaghetti has been rated high by various consumers and food vendors of pasta because of its unique qualities and nutritional benefits.

“When I prepared Crown Premium Spaghetti in my restaurant, the customers that I cooked it for described the taste as very nice.

“When they returned for another meal, they requested for the spaghetti which I cooked the last time they visited; instead of the spaghetti brand I used in preparing meals earlier.

“They all said that they preferred Crown Premium Spaghetti which I currently cook. Therefore, I am recommending it to other food vendors,” a food vendor in the Shomolu area of Lagos State, Mrs Ronke Oshineye, stated.

Since it was introduced to the Nigerian market, consumers have relished the taste and non-sticky attribute of the pasta brand, making many to keep requesting for the product.

“Crown Premium Pasta is very nice. I love the appealing taste. I encourage the manufacturers of this product to keep the good quality,” another food vendor based in Ikorodu, Mrs Ibiwunmi Bajimileyin, who owns God’s Favour Kitchen, said.

For Mabel Okon, who runs a restaurant, Kokoma’s Kitchen in Ikorodu, she said, “I know if I cook Crown Premium Spaghetti, I will make a profit. It absorbs water, it is non-sticky and it is also very tasty. I love Crown Premium Spaghetti. I will always buy it whenever I see it in the market. And I will tell everyone I know to purchase it as well.”

On the part of a regular consumer of pasta, Mrs Oyinlola Ojo, she described the pasta brand as her new favourite spaghetti brand, saying “My mind is made up. Crown Premium Spaghetti is the only spaghetti my household will be consuming from now on. The spaghetti strands are very strong and very thick. In the process of cooking it, it was not sticky.

The introduction of the Crown Premium Spaghetti brand heralded a new dawn in Nigeria’s pasta industry, said the General Manager/Head Marketing of Crown Flour Mill Limited, Mrs Bola Adeniji.

“Despite the fact that we only recently launched Crown Premium Spaghetti into the Nigerian market, the feedback has been quite impressive.

“Most of the consumers praise the non-sticky nature of the product, while they also attest to the great quality.

“I am personally delighted to hear these testimonials, and these endorsements will only spur us to keep producing products that will satisfy the Nigerian consumers,” she said.

Can African Languages Survive the Technology Era?

By Nneka Okumazie The worth of any language is also the amount of original knowledge in that language that is of importance and great interest to others, requiring them to seek translations from that language. Communication is an important use of language, but it is basic in terms of what a language is worth. English was not worth as much as it is now centuries ago when knowledge was spread across many other languages, mostly European. Those who spoke English sought translations to English; others had to learn those languages to access the knowledge in them. There are many countries
