To mark its 11 years of industry leadership, P+ Measurement Services has introduced its proprietary P+ Reputation Audit™ technology, an upgraded client reporting framework, Media Threat Intelligence and a redesigned website.

Since its establishment, P+ has championed independent media intelligence, measurement and evaluation in Nigeria. Its evolution reflects changing audience behaviour, AI-powered search and the growing need to measure reputation, trust, narratives and influence beyond traditional media coverage.

The centrepiece of this transition is P+ Reputation Audit™, an internally developed technology designed to transform more than a decade of accumulated media and reputation intelligence into richer, data-driven analysis and timely audit reports. Drawing on an extensive intelligence repository spanning billions of reputation and media data points, the platform supports analysis across banking, insurance, telecommunications, fintech, energy, mobility, entertainment, public institutions, faith-based organisations and other sectors.

The technology applies AI to help analyse complex datasets, identify patterns and develop more comprehensive reputation insights. Human analysts retain responsibility for interpreting findings, checking evidence and controlling the quality of the output. This approach is designed to improve reporting efficiency while addressing AI hallucination risks that can undermine the reliability of intelligence platforms.

P+ Reputation Audit™ is the second major internally developed technology initiative from the consultancy, following Africa Reputation Pulse (ARP), its public-interest reputation intelligence infrastructure for African institutions. ARP extends P+’s independent audit methodology to public institutions, providing free access to public-institution reputation intelligence.

The upgraded client reporting framework introduces broader capabilities in Narrative Intelligence, Brand Trust and Reputation Intelligence, AI Visibility and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), competitive intelligence beyond Share of Voice, and C-suite Reputation Intelligence. Clients will receive the upgraded reports through their October 2026 reporting cycle.

The consultancy’s new website, www.pplusmeasurement.com.ng, reflects its expanded direction and provides a clearer route for organisations seeking its services.

P+ is also expanding Media Threat Intelligence, a near-real-time alert service that delivers human-reviewed negative brand mentions, emerging issues and relevant regulatory concerns through WhatsApp. AI-assisted detection identifies potential signals, while analysts filter noise, assess significance and provide actionable guidance to help clients respond before issues escalate.

Both technologies operate under P+’s Restraint Doctrine™, which prioritises evidence, context and human oversight over speed without sufficient scrutiny.

“When we started P+, our mission was to make media data and intelligence available to PR and communications professionals for data-driven decisions.

“Eleven years later, that mission has not changed. We pioneered this space in Nigeria, served both locally and globally, more than 100 brands and over 30 PR and media agencies, and built a substantial intelligence base across industries. This rebirth is about advancing the industry we helped establish and building the technology it needs for its next phase,” the Chief Media Analyst at P+ Measurement Services, Mr Philip Odiakose, stated.

On her part, the company’s Associate Analyst, Ms Rukayat Yusuf, said, “The reporting upgrade reflects the technical and analytical demands of the current communications environment.

“Teams need to understand not only how much coverage they receive, but what shapes their reputation, where risks are emerging and how their visibility translates into meaningful intelligence. Our work is designed to make those answers clearer and more useful.”

Also, the Executive Director of Operations, Ms Olufunke Mohammed, said, “Technology must make our work more effective without removing the human judgment that gives intelligence its value. Our human-led, AI-driven approach keeps professional scrutiny central to analysis, helping us deliver timely insights while maintaining discipline and accountability.”
