11 Plc, MRS Oil, Food Concepts Lift NASD by 0.78%

Three price gainers lifted the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange by 0.78 per cent on Friday, April 17, with 11 Plc growing by N19.28 to close at N212.08 per share compared with the previous day’s N192.80 per share.

Further, MRS Oil Plc appreciated by N16.25 to sell at N197.75 per unit compared with the preceding session’s N181.50, and Food Concepts Plc added 26 Kobo to settle at N2.94 per share versus Thursday’s closing price of N2.68 per share.

The trio offset the 43 Kobo loss reported by FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc, as its share price closed at N97.21 per unit compared with the previous N97.64 per unit.

At the close of business, the market capitalisation of the bourse went up by N18.05 billion to N2.329 trillion from N2.311 trillion, and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) increased by 30.17 points to 3,893.15 points from 3,862.98 points.

The volume of trades during the session was down by 77.9 per cent to 131,870 units from 597,775 units, the value of transactions reduced by 72.7 per cent to N17.8 million from N64.9 million, and the number of deals decreased by 41.5 per cent to 24 deals from 41 deals.

Great Nigeria Insurance (GNI) Plc remained the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 3.4 billion units valued at N8.4 billion, followed by Central Security Clearing System (CSCS) Plc with 58.8 million units exchanged for N3.9 billion, and Okitipupa Plc with 27.8 million units traded for N1.9 billion.

GNI Plc also finished the day as the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 3.4 billion units worth N8.4 billion, trailed by Resourcery Plc with 1.1 billion units sold for N415.7 million, and Infrastructure Guarantee Credit Plc with 400 million units transacted for N1.2 billion.
