11 Plc Shrinks Unlisted Securities Market By 0.29%

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange ended in the negative territory on Tuesday, September 12, as it depreciated by 0.29 per cent.

Data showed that the value of the unlisted securities market went down by N3.25 billion to close at N1.119 trillion versus the N1.122 trillion it finished a day earlier, and the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) depreciated by 2.32 points to end the day at 798.45 points compared with Monday’s 800.77 points.

During the session, market participants executed 10 deals at the bourse, 9.1 per cent lower than the 11 deals achieved in the previous trading session, and the value of transactions went down by 79.5 per cent to N4.9 million from the N23.6 million posted a day earlier.

Also, the volume of stocks exchanged at the market dropped 83.4 per cent to 23,851 units from the 144,000 units transacted on Monday.

The alternative stock market ended with a price loser and it was 11 Plc, which depreciated by N9.00 to sell at N163.00 per unit versus the previous day’s N172.00 per unit.

At the close of business, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc was the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with the sale of 1.1 billion units for N22.1 billion, UBN Property Plc was in second place with 924.2 million units valued at N917.5 million, and Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc stood in third place with 647.0 units worth N52.5 million.

Also, CSCS Plc ended the trading session as the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 1.1 billion units worth N22.1 billion, VFD Group was in second position with 26.5 million units valued at N5.9 billion, and Aradel Holdings Plc was in third place with 6.0 million units worth N2.0 billion.
