11 Plc Sinks NASD OTC Bourse By 0.18%

11 Plc sank the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange by 0.18 per cent on Friday, September 15, after its value went down by N5.60 to sell at N144.40 per unit compared with the previous day’s N150.00 per unit.

The downward performance in the stock price of the energy company pushed down the market capitalisation of the bourse by N2.02 billion to N1.138 trillion from the N1.140 trillion recorded on Thursday.

This also shrank the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) by 1.43 basis points during the session to end the day at 805.65 points as against the 807.08 points it recorded in the previous session.

There was a surge in the volume of securities traded at the bourse on the last trading session of the week as investors exchanged 1.9 million units compared to the previous trading session’s 1.5 million units, indicating a jump of 28.7 per cent.

However, there was a 73.8 per cent slump in the value of shares traded during the trading session to N10.7 million from the N40.7 million achieved on Thursday, while the number of deals carried out by the market participants decreased by 42,9 per cent to 16 deals from the 28 deals executed a day earlier.

Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc remained the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 1.1 billion units valued at N22.2 billion, UBN Property Plc was in second place with 924.2 million units valued at N917.5 million, and Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc stood in third place with 647.3 units worth N52.6 million.

CSCS Plc was also the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with the sale of 1.1 billion units valued at N22.2 billion, VFD Group followed with the sale of 26.5 million units worth N5.9 billion, while Aradel Holdings Plc was in third place with 6.0 million units valued at N2.1 billion.
