The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange experienced a 0.33 per cent decline on Friday, November 22, with the share prices of Acorn Petroleum Plc and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc closing in the red.

Acorn Petroleum recorded a 16 Kobo loss to end the session at N1.54 per unit compared with the preceding day’s N1.70 per unit and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc slid by N1.90 to settle at N42.00 per share versus Thursday’s closing price of N43.90 per share.

On the flip side, Nipco Plc appreciated yesterday by N3.01 to settle at N147.00 per unit, in contrast to the preceding day’s value of N143.99 per unit.

When trading activities ended for the session, the market capitalisation went down by N3.46 billion to N1.054 trillion from N1.058 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) recorded a drop of 9.89 points to finish at 3,008.94 points as against 3,108.83 points recorded at the previous session.

Busines Post reports that the volume of securities traded at the bourse decreased by 72.6 per cent to 157,791 units from the 575,999 units transacted a day earlier, as the value of securities went down by 1.4 per cent to N6.3 million from the N6.2 million recorded in the previous trading day, and the number of deals increased by 33.3 per cent to 20 deals from the 14 deals carried out in the preceding trading session.

At the close of business, Geo-Fluids Plc remained the most active stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 1.7 billion units valued at N3.9 billion, trailed by Okitipupa Plc with the sale of 752.2 million units for N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc followed with 297.3 million units worth N5.3 million.

Also, Aradel Holdings Plc remained the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 108.7 million units worth N89.2 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 752.2 million units valued at N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 297.3 million units sold for N5.3 billion.
