Air Liquide Postpones 61st AGM

Air Liquide Nigeria Plc has postponed its 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to hold on Thursday, June 18, 2020, due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

On Tuesday, June 9, Nigeria recorded a new highest daily figure of confirmed COVID-19 cases as 663 new infections were reported in the country, according to  the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

With the latest update, the total tally of infected people in the country rose to 13,464. Previously, the highest daily number recorded was 553 recorded on May 31.

In a notice signed by the company’s managing director, Mr Sulemana K. Dauda, sent to the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange, the company said that a new date would be announced.

The notice read: “We refer to our letter dated May 4, 2020 and hereby notify you that the 2020 (61st) Annual General Meeting of our Company scheduled to hold at the Sheraton Hotels & Towers, Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, June 18 has been postponed indefinitely due to the prevailing Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“A new date will be communicated to you as soon as it fixed.”

Air Liquide Nigeria serves healthcare, steel, automotive, fabrication, food and beverage, and oil and gas industries.

At as Wednesday morning, its share price was trading at N6 per share at NASD OTC bourse.
