Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos State has approved the appointment of Mr Idowu Ajanaku as his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
A letter signed by the Head of Service, Mrs Folasade Sidikatu Adesoye, disclosed that the appointment of Mr Ajanaku is with immediate effect.
The appointee, before now, was the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Strategy.
He is a multiple award-winning journalist and political strategist, who is expected to use his wealth of experience to promote his principal’s administration having worked with the Vanguard and the Guardian Newspapers for over one and half decades.
Mr Ajanaku holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and International Studies from the Lagos State University (LASU) and a Masters degree in History and Strategic Studies from the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG). He is also a fellow of Martin Luther King Center for Leadership.
According to the Head of Service, Mr Ajanaku’s appointment is in line with Governor Ambode’s vision to strengthen the information machinery in the state with the aim of making it more people-oriented and effective, right to the grass-root.
