Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has emphasised the need for all financial institutions in the country to follow due process in financial transactions for an improved economy.
Mr Amosun, when receiving board members of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) in his office recently, said this will help boost the economy and elevate the status of citizens.
He commended the initiative of the board to establish its regional office in the state, noting that majority of the banks were now opening their offices in Ogun.
Chairman of the NDIC board, Mrs Ronke Sokefun commended the governor for the giant strides of his administration, especially in the areas of infrastructure and the provision of adequate security, which she said has made the state conducive for investors.
The NDIC boss, who stated that the board is saddled with the effective supervision of banking deposits, solicited the support of the governor, who is returning to the Senate, to assist with in the amendment of the pending NDIC bill.
Mr Amosun, who also received the newly elected executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State chapter, charged them to work for the greater benefit of journalism.
The governor admonished the new leadership not to betray the confidence reposed in them by their members, while also assuring them of his support.
Highlighting some achievements of his administration, Amosun said they include moving the state up to fourth position from 36th in the ease of doing business, second from the 27th position in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) as well as improved security and infrastructure.
In his remarks, the union’s chairman, Comrade Soji Amosu, appreciated the governor for transforming Ogun into an enviable state and the elevation of some journalists to the position of permanent secretaries and heads of parastatals.

He stated that no governor has been able to beat his records in terms of support to the union and journalists in the state.
The blockchain brings new financing options to the business market. For example, Bitcoin Cash casino has adapted to only using cryptocurrency. This way, it makes it easier for their customers to deposit and withdraw in a BCH casino. Entrepreneurs have taken note of this and are looking to invest more in crypto than in fiat markets.
