Aradel, CSCS Lift NASD OTC Bourse by 0.25% At Midweek

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange returned to the green territory with a 0.25 per cent rise on Wednesday, November 15, influenced by the duo of Aradel Holdings Plc and the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc.

As a result, the market capitalisation of the NASD OTC bourse increased by N2.8 billion to close at N1.137 trillion against the previous day’s N1.134 trillion, as the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) appreciated by 2.07 points to 838.81 points from 836.74 points.

Aradel Holdings Plc, after the release of its nine-month results, gained N72.00 at the market yesterday to close at N792.00 per share compared with Tuesday’s closing price of N720.00 per share, and CSCS Plc jumped by 40 Kobo to settle at N20.41 per unit versus N20.01 per unit.

Inversely, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc lost N6.64 to trade at N65.50 per share versus N72.14 per share, 11 Plc declined by N2.00 to close the day at N133.00 per unit versus N135.00 per unit, and Geo-Fluids Plc shrank by 27 Kobo to end the day at N2.70 per share compared with the preceding day’s N2.97 per share.

During the session, the volume of securities traded went down by 70.9 per cent to 786,431 units from 2.7 million units, while the value of trades went up by 81.9 per cent to N23.7 million from N23.7 million, and the number of deals grew by 121.4 per cent to 31 deals from 14 deals.

At the close of business, CSCS Plc remained the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with the sale of 1.2 billion units valued at N22.3 billion, UBN Property Plc was in second place with 1.1 billion units worth N1.1 billion, and Geo-Fluids Plc stood in third place with 702.0 units amounting to N1.3 billion.

CSCS Plc was also the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 1.2 billion units worth N22.3 billion, VFD Group followed with a turnover of 26.6 million units worth N5.9 billion, and Aradel Holdings Plc was in third place with 7.7 million units valued at N3.1 billion.
