Aradel, CSCS, Mixta Real Estate Lift NASD Index by 3.26%

The prices of Aradel Holdings Plc, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc, and Mixta Real Estate Plc shares appreciated on Friday to lift the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange by 3.26 per cent.

Data showed that Aradel Holdings Plc recorded a N210.45 growth during the session to trade at N2,324.95 per unit compared with the preceding day’s N2,114.50 per unit, CSCS Plc expanded by 26 Kobo to N18.80 per share from the previous session’s N18.54 per share, and Mixta Real Estate Plc leapt by 15 Kobo to N1.64 per share from N1.49 per share.

As a result, the market capitalisation of the bourse increased by N48.5 billion to close at N1.535 trillion versus Thursday’s N1.486 trillion, as the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) jumped by 35.78 points to end the day at 1,132.56 points as against the 1,096.78 points it recorded in the previous session.

In terms of the volume of securities traded at the bourse, it surged by 5,349.8 per cent to 70.0 million units from the 1.3 million units recorded a day earlier.

However, the value of transactions recorded during the session decreased by 19.7 per cent to N381.0 million from the N474.8 million recorded in the preceding trading session.

Also, the number of deals executed on the last trading session of the week went down by 18.8 per cent to 13 deals from the 16 deals carried out in the previous trading day.

Mixta Real Estate Plc took over as the most traded stock by volume (year-to-date) with 69.9 million units valued at N114.5 million, IPWA Plc slipped to second place with 48.9 million units sold for N24.4 million, and UBN Property Plc was in third place with 37.2 million units worth N64.9 million.

But Aradel Plc remained the most traded stock by value (year-to-date) with the sale of 879,140 units for N1.6 billion, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc followed with 2.5 million units valued at N195.2 million, and Mixta Real Estate Plc took over the third spot with 69.9 million units worth N114.5 million.
