Aradel Holdings Spurs 2.24% Growth at NASD OTC Bourse

Aradel Holdings Plc spurred a 2.24 per cent appreciation in the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange Market on Friday, February 23.

As the sole price gainer, Aradel Holdings Plc gained N200.31 during the session to close at N2,700 per unit versus its previous day’s value of N2,499.69 per unit.

Conversely, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc ended the day as the sole price loser as it lost N4.23 to trade at N70.27 per share compared with Thursday’s closing price of N74.43 per share.

Yesterday, investors smiled to the bank as their portfolios garnered a rise of N35.25 billion as the market capitalisation ended at N1.611 trillion compared with the preceding day’s value of N1.576 trillion.

The NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) rose by 26.01 points on Friday to wrap the session at 1,188.78 points compared with 1,162.77 points recorded in the previous session.

During the trading day, the volume of securities increased by 2,697.3 per cent to 8.4 million units from 298,921 units, the number of deals appreciated by 41.4 per cent to 41 deals from 29 deals, but the value of transactions went down by 38.2 per cent to N385.6 million from N623.7 million.

Mixta Real Estate Plc remained the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 69.9 million units worth N114.5 million, IPWA Plc was in second place with 48.9 million units valued at N24.4 million, and Geo-Fluids Plc stood in third place with 45.4 million units sold for N111.9 million.

Aradel Holdings Plc was the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 1.7 million units worth N3.6 billion, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc was in second place with 3.6 million units valued at N276.9 million, and Mixta Real Estate Plc was in third place with 69.9 million units sold for N114.5 million.
