BREAKING: Buhari Signs 2020 Budget into Law

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2020 Appropriation Bill into law, paving way for the return of the budget cycle to January to December.

Business Post reports that on October 8, 2019, President Buhari presented the budget to a joint session of the National Assembly and was passed by the parliament on December 5, 2019.

On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, the President signed it into law.

When he presented the budget to the lawmakers, Mr Buhari proposed to spend N10.33 trillion for the 2020 fiscal year, but when it was passed, it was raised to N10.6 trillion and signed by the President.
