Next Monday, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will hold its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting in Abuja.
The meeting will take place at MPC Meeting Room, 11th Floor, Wing C of the CBN Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
A statement issued by the apex bank on Tuesday revealed that the meeting, in its 255th edition, will hold for two days.
According to the statement, the first day is Monday, March 20, 2017 by 10am and the second day on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 by 9am.
Next week’s MPC meeting will be coming barely a week after the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released a report that the country’s inflation slowed for the first time in 15 months in February.
The CBN had been pressured to reduce the interest rate to help boost the economy in the midst of recession, but it had argued that a cut in the rate would have no positive effect on the economy.
