ComX to Educate Youth, Women on Alternative Investment Opportunities

Digital commodities trading platform, ComX, is set to hold a webinar to squarely discuss the concept of alternative investments and the inclusion of youths and women across the country in such investment opportunities.

The program, which is themed Alternative Investments: Driving Youth and Women Inclusion, is scheduled to hold on Thursday, September 30, 2021, by 3:30 pm prompt.

The virtual event, which requires registration here, will focus on the participation of women and youths in trading agricultural assets and other alternative investment opportunities on the ComX platform.

Launched by the leading commodities market player in Nigeria, AFEX, in January 2020, the ComX platform allows investors to trade and invest in commodity-backed instruments and earn in a variety of ways from the movement of the exchange market.

It encourages users to invest and trade in agricultural commodity assets using investment as it boasts over 25,000 app users with 10 listed commodity-backed instruments on its platform for investors to trade on.

Announcing the program, AFEX’s Vice President, Financial Markets, Ms Oluwafunto Olasemo, noted that the purpose of organizing the webinar is necessary for wealth creation, especially amid the current economic environment of the country.

She said, “Youth and women inclusion has become a global subject across various industries and sectors with deliberations being made to create sustainable solutions. Even some of the Sustainable Development Goals are youth-specific and centred on creating gender equality.

“To this end, we are contributing to this global movement in our little way by holding a webinar to discuss issues around youth and women inclusion in finance and agriculture.”
