Conoil Rewards Shareholders with N2 per Share Dividend

The board of directors of Conoil Plc has recommended the payment of N2 per share dividend to shareholders of the oil company.

The cash dividend payment, according to the board, is for the year ended December 2017.

At a meeting of the board held on Monday, May 21, 2018, it was resolved that the amount would be tabled before shareholders of the firm at its Annual General Meeting (AGM).

According to a statement issued by Conoil, the board agreed that the AGM, in its 48th edition, should be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at a venue to be communicated to shareholders soon.

Already, the Company Secretary has been “authorized to issue the notice of the AGM to the shareholders of the company.”

It was also disclosed that during the board meeting, “The Audited Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2017 was approved; and it was further approved that the Audited Financial Statements be presented to the members of the Company at the 48th Annual General Meeting.”

Furthermore, “The Board approved that dividend warrants be dispatched or mailed on the 23rd of July 2018 to members whose names appear in the Register of Members at the close of business on 14th June 2018,” while the “Board approved that the Register of Members and the Transfer Books of the Company be closed from 18th June 2018 to 22nd June 2018 both days inclusive, to enable the preparation and payment of dividends.”

Finally, the “Board also approved that the Report of Directors for the year ended 31st December 2017, be signed by the Company Secretary,” Conrad Eberemu.

Oil Prices Soar Amid Expansion in US Stockpiles
