Youths in the country have been urged to key into the fight against corruption, economic and financial crimes.
This plea was made on Monday, August 15, 2016, by the Commandant of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Academy, Mohammed Bunu, when the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students Association (NUASA) Bayero University Kano, Kano State, visited the Commission’s Abuja office.
Mr Kanu, who was represented by Abiodun Adebanjo, said the Commission cannot fight corruption alone without the support of the people, especially the youths.
He also said that the EFCC was ever ready to collaborate with the youths in the corruption war because of the vital role they play in the society.
Earlier, the Head of Enlightenment and Re-orientation Unit, Aisha Larai Musa, who was represented by Zainab Tifi, told the students that the EFCC also has the mandate to re-orientate the publics on the activities of the Commission and ways of employing Nigerians to join the fight against corruption, economic and financial crimes in Nigeria.
Mr Muktar Musa Bako who led the delegation of the student thanked the Commission for the warm reception and for sensitizing them on the evil of corruption.
