Shareholders of Dangote Sugar will begin to receive a cash dividend payout of N1.10k per share from Wednesday, June 19, 2019.

This information was contained in a notice released by the company to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday.

It was disclosed that the N1.10k per 50 kobo ordinary share is subject to shareholders’ approval and appropriate withholding tax.

This approval would be sought at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Orchid Hall, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos by 10am.

It was further stated that the payment would be made only to “shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on Friday, May 31, 2019.”

According to the notice, “The Register of Shareholders will be closed from Monday, June 3 to Wednesday, June 5, 2019.”

Dangote Sugar has therefore urged shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form, which is also available on the website of the Registrars at www.veritasregistrars.com, omplete and submit to the Registrar or their respective banks.
