The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, adjusted the equity prices of two companies listed on its trading platform.
The organisations, which had their share prices tampered with are LASACO Assurance Plc and Tripple Gee and Company Plc.
The reason for the action on the value of their stocks was because of the dividend their respective boards recommended for payment to shareholders.
“The equity prices of LASACO Assurance Plc and Tripple Gee and Company Plc were adjusted today, September 1, 2020, for dividends as recommended by their respective boards of directors.
“The price of Tripple Gee and Company Plc was rounded down by the system to N0.044 in conformity with the price step methodology,” a circular issued by the NSE today read.
Business Post reports that as at the time of filing this article, shares of LASACO Assurance at the exchange were trading flat at 26 kobo per unit. Also, the stock price of Tripple Gee was unchanged at 44 kobo per unit.
