Business Post has confirmed that First Bank of Nigeria Limited, a tier-1 banking institution, has completed the routine maintenance of its IT infrastructure.
The commercial bank announced over the weekend that its customers would experience service downtime because of the scheduled maintenance.
“We are running scheduled maintenance on our platforms from 9:00 pm – 7 am on March 4 and 5, 2023. We will be back up and ready for you from 7 am,” the notice seen by Business Post on Friday, March 3, read.
During this period, some customers of the lender had difficulties using the digital channels of the company to complete their financial transactions.
First Bank embarked on this maintenance as part of its commitment to giving quality service delivery to its numerous customers.
In a message on Sunday, the bank disclosed that the maintenance had been concluded and that its channels for payments were fully back and better.
“All our platforms are now up and running to serve you better. Thank you for your patience.
“Keep transacting across our channels for your convenient and seamless banking experience,” a part of the statement disclosed.
First Bank, in the emailed notice, re-echoed the need for its customers to “observe all safety precautions for both yourself and your banking details.”
