Forum to Showcase Investment Opportunities Holds July 13

On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, investors will have the opportunity to have vital information on the various investment opportunities in the privatisation programme of the federal government.

The Nigerian government to planning some abandoned national assets in order to raise funds to run the country and the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) is charged with the responsibility of offloading the identified items.

Recently, the federal government handed the National Theatre in Lagos to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Bankers’ Committee for rehabilitation.

The new team is expected to revamp the structure and turn it into a world-class facility. This will, in turn, boost economic activities in the neighbourhood.

There are several national assets scattered across the nation waiting to be rehabilitated for the economic growth of the country.

This is why the BPE is organising the webinar next week to showcase investment opportunities to investors who might be interested in putting their funds in these assets.

The seminar is in collaboration with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited and the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) and the theme is Showcasing Investment Opportunities in the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Privatization and Economic Reform Programme.

According to a notice from the organisers, the webinar, which will hold from 2pm to 4:30pm, will be chaired by the Vice President, Mr Yemi Osinbajo, who is expected to deliver the keynote address and declare the event open.

Other guests include the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed; the Director-General of the BPE, Mr Alex Okoh; the Group CEO of the NGX Group, Mr Oscar Onyemma; the Executive Secretary of NIPC, Ms Yewande Sadiku; and the CEO of NGX Limited, Mr Temi Popoola.
