Investors Trade N3.3m Unlisted Securities Thursday

Unlisted securities worth N3.3 million were transacted on Thursday, June 11 at the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange by investors.

The trading value of the day was 64.6 percent lower than the N9.2 million shares transacted at the market on Wednesday.

Also, the volume of trades went down by 87.6 percent yesterday to 10,950 units from the 88,100 units transacted at the previous day.

These stocks were executed in one single deal on Thursday compared with the two deals of the midweek week session, indicating a decline by 50 percent.

The single deal of yesterday was from the shares of Niger Delta Exploration and Production (NDEP) Plc. There was no price gainer or loser during the session.

Despite the activities witnessed at the unlisted securities market, the major performance indicators closed flat at the close of business.

The NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) remained at 682.49 points, while the market capitalisation stayed at N501.34 billion.

ARM Life Plc closed the session as the company with the highest volume of traded shares (year-to-date) with 7.4 billion units of its shares sold for N4.6 billion at the bourse. Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc was in second place with 195.8 million units worth N2.6 billion, while Food Concept Plc held the third position with 110 million units of its shares worth N77 million.

Also, ARM Life Plc ended the day as the firm with the highest value of traded equity (year-to-date) with 7.4 billion units of its shares worth N4.6 billion. CSCS Plc followed with 195.8 million units exchanged for N2.6 billion, while NDEP Plc stood in third place with 7.8 million units of its securities valued at N2.4 billion.
