Nigeria’s number one online food ordering platform, Jumia Food, has announced its partnership with six new top restaurants in Port Harcourt, bringing the total restaurants active on the platform in the city to 35.
The six new restaurants now under the Jumia Food belt are Genesis, Jevinik, South 66, Menage, Casablanca, and Go Green.
In addition, Jumia Food has also partnered with the best pizza, burger, health food and local food restaurants in the city, and will deliver to major areas like Trans Amadi, GRA 1, 2 & 3, Old GRA, Rumogba, and Woji.
Managing Director of Jumia Food, Olamide Bada who announced the partnership recently in Port Harcourt, said the decision was informed by customers relentless demand to have these restaurants signed up on Jumia Food.
“We have been getting requests from our customers in Port Harcourt to include some of their favourite restaurants on our platform, and we couldn’t turn a deaf ear to their requests.
“We have built a solid business model in Lagos and we plan to consolidate our market position as Nigeria’s number one food ordering platform by doing the same in Port Harcourt. We guarantee our customers first-class services they already know us for,” she added.
To meet up with the average delivery time of 45-minutes for same day delivery in Port Harcourt, Jumia Food has beefed up the delivery fleet by employing additional delivery agents, thereby creating employment opportunities for hundreds of youths in the city.
“We have ensured that we have enough agents to deliver orders to our customers by beefing up our fleet which meant hiring new hands within the city,” said Olamide.
