Mobil Oil Nigeria Board Okays FY2018 Results, Proposes Dividend

The financial statements of Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc for the year ended December 31, 2018, have been approved by the company’s board of directors.

This information was confirmed by the energy firm on Friday in a statement signed by its scribe, Mr Danladi Ochekpe.

In the statement, Mr Ochekpe said the accounts of Mobil Oil Nigeria were approved by the board at its meeting held on March 7, 2019.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the financial results should be released to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday, March 22, 2019.

It was further disclosed that during the meeting, the board also agreed to recommend the payment of dividend to shareholders of the company, though the amount was not disclosed.

Business Post reports that in the 2017 financial year, Mobil Oil Nigeria paid N8 per share to shareholders as dividend.

“Please refer to our announcement to the exchange dated February 21, 2019 through which we notified the exchange of the board meeting of the company.

“We are pleased to inform you that the board of directors of the company at its meeting of March 7, 2019 approved among other things, the audited accounts of the company for the financial year ended December 31, 2018 and recommended a dividend subject to approval of the shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM).

“Consequent upon the approval, the said audited accounts will be published on March 22, 2019,” the statement read.
