Naira Gains 0.03% at I&E, Records $392.90m Transactions

The local currency recorded a marginal gain against the Dollar at the Investors and Exporters (I&E) segment of the foreign exchange (forex) on Wednesday.

During the midweek trading session, the Naira was slightly up by 0.03 percent to settle at N363.78 per Dollar against the N363.88 per Dollar it traded on Tuesday.

According to data obtained by Business Post from the FMDQ, the total value of transactions recorded at the I&E FX window yesterday stood at $392.90 million executed in 401 deals.

A look at the other important segment of the forex market, the interbank, the local currency remained stable at N360.40 to a Dollar.

Also at the parallel market, the Nigerian Naira remained unchanged at N361 to the Dollar. The Naira also stayed unchanged at N478 per Pound Sterling, while it gained N1 against the Euro to quote at N417.
