NASD Closes Week in Flat Territory

The final session of the week closed at the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange closed in the flat territory on Friday, November 18.

Business Post reports that this happened as the key indicators were all flat while the trading volume, value, and deals all headed south.

There was no price gainer or loser at the session as the market capitalisation of the alternative securities exchange closed at N935.07 billion, while the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) closed at 720.83 basis points.

At the close of transactions, investors traded a total of 100 units of securities in contrast to the 38.5 million units of securities transacted in the preceding session, indicating a slump of 100 per cent.

The value of shares exchanged by the market participants finished lower by 99.9 per cent to N15,500.00 from the N58.5 million recorded in the previous session.

The total number of deals closed downward a single transaction was executed, 92.9 per cent lower than the 14 deals quoted in the preceding market day.

AG Mortgage Bank Plc remained the most traded stock (year-to-date), with 2.3 billion units valued at N1.2 billion, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc stood in second place with 687.8 million units valued at N14.3 billion, while Lighthouse Financial Services Plc was in third place with 224.7 million units valued at N112.3 million.

CSCS Plc ended the trading session as the most active stock (year-to-date) with 687.8 million units exchanged for N14.3 billion, VFD Group Plc was in second place with 29.1 million units worth N7.7 billion, while FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc was in third place with 16.2 million units valued at N1.8 billion.
