NASD Investors Gain N2.69bn in Trading Week 37

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange appreciated by 0.13 per cent in the 37th trading week of 2025, halting losses from the preceding weeks.

Due to the appreciation, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) increased by 4.49 points to settle at 3,569.95 points compared with the preceding week’s 3,565.46 points and the market capitalisation added N2.69 billion in value to close at N2.135 trillion compared with the preceding week’s N2.133 trillion.

FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc gained 11.8 per cent to finish at N64.86 per share compared with the preceding week’s N58.00 per share, Afriland Properties Plc went up by 10 per cent to N20.90 per unit from N19.00 per unit, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc climbed by 0.7 per cent to N41.3 per share from N41.00 per share, and Purple Real Estate Plc gained 0.4 per cent to close at N7.50 per unit versus N7.47 per unit.

On the flip side, Geo-Fluids Plc slid by 17.3 per cent to N4.05 per share from N4.90 per share, Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc fell by 11.5 per cent to 54 Kobo per unit versus 61 Kobo per unit, Food Concepts Plc depreciated by 9.9 per cent to N3.47 per share from N3.85 per share, Lagos Building Investment Company (LBIC) Plc slumped by 2.0 per cent to N2.94 per unit from N3.00 per unit, and NASD Plc weakened by 0.2 per cent to N29.40 per share from N29.45 per share.

Last week, the value of transactions went down by 67.3 per cent to N22.6 million from N69.07 million, the volume of trades declined by 67.2 per cent to 3.09 million units from 9.4 million units, and the number of deals decreased by 4.44 per cent to 86 deals from 90 deals.

The most traded stock by value in the five-day trading week was CSCS Plc with N10.8 million, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc recorded N6.8 million, NASD Plc posted N1.5 million, IGI Plc reported N1.4 million, and Okitipupa Plc transacted N0.9 million.

In terms of volume, IGI Plc led with 2.5 million units, CSCS Plc exchanged 0.26 million units, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc traded 0.11 million units, Food Concepts Plc quoted 0.10 million units, and NASD Plc recorded 0.05 million unit.
