NASD Joins Lagos Chamber of Commerce

The NASD OTC Securities Exchange Plc has officially joined the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

The LCCI is the 2nd oldest chamber of commerce in Africa.

With its joining of the group, NASD brings its services as an Over the Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange for public unlisted companies.

A statement issued by the trading platform for unlisted companies explained that this development would be more critical for the community of over 2000 corporate citizens, which would have the opportunity to use the NASD Enterprise Portal known as Nasdep.

It explained that Nasdep provides growing enterprises with an important first contact with the capital market and presents investor ready companies to a select group of accredited investors.

The LCCI was established 130 years ago and is a hub for over 2000 companies across the full spectrum of enterprises in Nigeria.

“NASD is proud to be a member of the chamber and looks forward to contributing to the growth of the Nigerian economy,” the statement said.

Present at the official ceremony to join LCCI were the Managing Director of NASD, Mr Bola Ajomale; President of LCCI, Mr Babatunde Ruwase; Vice President & Chairman of LCCI, Mr Soboma Ajumogodia; Mr Ganiyu Balogun; Marketing Communications Manager of Dizengoff Nigeria, Mr. Humphrey Otalor; and Mr David Inglis of SHI-MCI FZE.
